Essential Space

Openness is the specific state that results in the individual consciousness (or Soul) when essential space arises.

A series of 3 weekends open to all.

This openness is not an attitude based on ideas or beliefs. It is a state of being, of inner spaciousness, which we arrive at  by letting go of a self image that defines who we takes ourself to be. When we see  through a self image to the extent that it no longer defines us in anyway and we don’t leap to define ourself again with another self image we naturally arrive at a wonderful state of freedom, unencumbered by the heavy rigid ego structure that generally defines our experience of ourself. We feel un- patterned and experience ourself as a clear luminous spaciousness, immaculate and light hearted. We are lightness formless openness, open to all the potential of our true nature.

Over three weekends through the practice of being present in the immediacy of our experience, and exploring and opening up via Diamond Inquiry™.  We will present teachings of the Diamond Approach ® on this quality of Essential Space.  Exploring our self images and how clinging to and believing in them, structures our consciousness and denies our us the openness and freedom that is our true nature.

A DIAMOND APPROACH® INTRODUCTORY RETREAT with Gail Aylward, Geoff Caird and Tejo Jourdan

Each spiritual path has its own unique teachings, yet the teachings only come alive and transform the individual consciousness through the specific practices of that path. In these 4 days we will unfold, dissect and apply the 3 main practices of the Diamond Approach™. We will have a chance for in depth practice, time to examine our relationship to practice, and explore the various barriers, difficulties, and fruits of in depth practices on our inner process.

The 3 main practices of the Diamond Approach® we will explore.

Meditation – the practice of disidentification with content of our consciousness, the development of the belly center and essential Will through specific meditation practice.

Sensing – the practice of sensing, looking and listening and conscious movement, that can develop our embodiment and experience of essence.

Inquiry – the art and practice of open ended inquiry which penetrates and illuminates our consciousness, bringing about experience, understanding and insight to the nature of our consciousness.

The practice of meditation and sensing and Diamond Inquiry® bring about a powerful deep transformation in our consciousness.

This retreat will be a support for experienced students of the DA® and a deep introduction for new students to the power of the Diamond approach to inner realisation.

Blue Sky Mind – A Diamond Approach Seminar

LONDON, UK – July 6th & 7th 2024 (in-person and streaming)

The nature of our consciousness is an open presence; an awake direct knowingness.

To know the nature of consciousness brings a deep relaxation to our mind; a vacation mind. Not a vacant mind, but a mind that is unconcerned and at ease. Consciousness before any content. A pure, open, blue-sky mind.

A free mind means we have direct perception. Any belief or preconceived idea will determine our reality in such a way that it will restrict it.

Reality is bigger than our beliefs, more expanded and freer than whatever preconception we have about it. It is subtler, more mysterious, and more beautiful than our ordinary familiar mind can make of it.

In this weekend we will use the practices of presence and inquiry to unfold our experience of the moment to reveal the truth that is our nature.
